Choose clothes based on your comfort and destination. Avoid excess jewelry, boots or hats as they may slow you down while passing through security. Also, airplane temperatures can be a bit chilly so carry a light sweater to layer up.

This reduces your chances of using the toilet on the flight as the airplane toilet is filled with germs and definitely not the most hygienic of places. Even if you are flushing, use a toilet paper to push it.

Airport terminals can be rather confusing and finding a good restaurant afterwards can be even more tedious. Thank god for apps that let you breeze your way through airport terminals and show nearby restaurants. There are plenty of such apps available for Android and iOS.

#8. Contact a kennel/house sitter

If you have pets and are nobody to take care of them when you are gone it’s better you contact a kennel or a house sitter well before time so as to ensure availability. Very often people call at the last moment and such services are full or not available.
