Every year, we watch helpless as time marches on, leaving us to look back into the past as we struggle to come to grips with just how damn old we actually are. So, here are 5 movies that came out in 2006, 10 years ago.

#1.)   Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest
The second Pirates of the Caribbean movie, starring Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightly and Johnny Depp, Dead Man’s Chest saw Davy Jones (Bill Nighy) on the hunt for Jack’s soul.

Daniel Craig’s first outing as James Bond, Casino Royale was looked upon with great scrutiny. A blonde Bond? A short Bond? But Craig, over the past 10 years, has made the role his own, culminating in 2015’s Spectre, which saw the return of the shadowy organisation from early Bond films.
#3.)Â Â Â The Da Vinci Code
An adaptation of Dan Brown’s controversial book about the lineage of Christ, the 2006 film did well enough to warrant a sequel, also starring Tom Hanks in the role of Robert Langdon.
#4.)Â Â Â Borat
Sacha Baron Cohen’s film about a man from Kazakhstan travelling to America to experience the culture managed to both offend and entertain the world of 2006 in more or less equal measure.

`A remake of an earlier film, 2006’s The Pink Panther saw Steve Martin star as Inspector Jacques Clouseau as he attempts to solve the murder of a French soccer coach, find the Pink Panther diamond and discover the joys of hamburgers. Also stars Beyonce, for some reason.
