Various problems that can arise include headaches, nausea, dizziness, irritation and kidney damage in some cases.
Considering how much time we spend in bed, the harmful chemicals called PBDEs found in mattresses seem quite hazardous. Exposure to them can lead to decreased sperm quality, thyroid problems and brain damage. Mattresses with PBDEs have been banned in various US states and Canada. So, if you want a comfy sleep and not worry about health problems, better go for a mattress without PBDEs.
