I don’t think there’s anyone who goes out without makeup. Is there anyone, girls? No matter how much you avoid it you still have a fraction of it. Be it in the form of lipstick or little bit of kajal, you’re not out of it. If we talk about celebrities then they are coated in tons of makeup. Have you ever wondered how makeup affects your skin? Those cosmetics that you use are made of chemicals. They will definitely have some amount of harmful elements in it. The ones that claim to be purely herbal, talk bullshit.
Make-up always causes reactions in your skin. Though it not be very dangerous, which depends how versatile your skin is. Basically, the reaction caused by makeup is of two types – iirritant contact dermatitis & allergic contact dermatitis.
The irritant contact dermatitis causes irritation and itching in the skin. It makes your skin burn. On the other hand, allergic contact dermatitis causes swelling, itching or blisters. These are mostly caused due to the presence of fragrance elements and preservatives in the cosmetics. The irritation caused by it, even if for a short period, is really painful and annoying.
Another bad effect of makeup is that it causes acnes and pimples. Yes, you probably had been using makeup to hide your pimples and acnes. But the reality is that the major cause of acnes and pimples is makeup. This happens due to certain oils that are present in the makeup you use. The acnes caused by this are known as acne cosmetica and it is characterised by blocked pores and reddened bumps on the skin. They are generally common and mild but you definitely won’t like dots on your face, will you?
To avoid these, you need to be very careful in choosing your cosmetics. If you want to protect your skin from acnes and pimples then you have to make sure that you choose oil and fragrance free makeups. It is very easy to find them. Check the labels and buy those products which are labeled with the words hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic or nonacnegenic. The hypoallergenic cosmetics avoids allergies while the noncomedogenic keeps away the blocking of pores and nonacnegenics prevent acnes. So next time you go to buy ccoametics, don’t forget to check the labels.
Did you know that makeup causes “headache” too? When you put up makeup for a longtime. It makes you feel nauseous, dizzy and tired. Again the worst effect is that it causes you hairfall. Hair is the diamond to ring of beauty. If you don’t have good and healthy hair, all your makeover will miss the perfect touch. The shampoos, conditioners and hair colors that you use results in thinning of hair, dandruffs, redness of scalp and hairfall.
If you have to give up your natural beauty over makeup then I think you shouldn’t. Avoid makeups and be natural.
